Our narrow electric cooktops are ideal for those who cherish precision and predictability when it comes to cooking. With 9-step power settings, you gain complete control over temperature, allowing for perfect simmering, searing, or boiling with just a touch. This brings immense ease to your cooking process and helps you achieve predictable results each time.

Living in an urban setting or having a compact kitchen does not mean you must compromise on your culinary aspirations. Our electric cooktops boast a compact design that fits neatly into small spaces. Despite their size, they are thoughtfully engineered to allow the use of all four burners simultaneously, ensuring you do not compromise on functionality.

Our frameless cooktops with ceramic glass tops offer a sleek, modern aesthetic to complement your kitchen. Moreover, the robust ceramic glass top is more durable than toughened glass, promising durability and resistance against daily wear and tear. Not only does it look great, but it also stands up to intense heat and heavy use, enhancing your overall cooking experience.

At Goldline, we believe that safety in the kitchen is paramount. Our cooktops come equipped with advanced residual heat indicators. These indicators remain red to alert you when the surface is still hot, preventing you or your family members from accidentally touching it when it isn’t safe to do so.

Forget the tedious cleanup after cooking. Our cooktops’ smooth, knob-less design ensures that you won’t have to scrub down grime in hard-to-reach places. Cleaning up will be as simple as a quick wipe-down, allowing you more time to enjoy your meals and less time in heavy-duty cleaning.

Our electric cooktops are equipped with an automatic timer, allowing you to effortlessly manage multiple tasks in the kitchen and around the home. Select your preferred temperature and time, and our cooktop will prevent overcooking or burning. This feature is perfect for busy chefs who value precision and convenience.

Embrace the freedom to use your existing cookware. Our Stretto Electric Cooktops are designed to be compatible with all types of cookware. Whether it’s your favourite cast iron skillet or your go-to stainless steel pot, our cooktops can easily accommodate them all.

To support our commitment to quality, each cooktop has a 2-year warranty against any manufacturing defects and faults. In the rare event of a malfunction or defect, you can count on our dedicated customer service for prompt redressal—including repairs, parts replacement, and even a complete cooktop replacement, if necessary. This ensures that every purchase you make is risk-free.

Our narrow electric cooktops are the ultimate blend of style, functionality and innovation. Frequently Asked Questions

INSTALLATION

Yes. Australian law (AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules) requires all fixed electrical appliances, including electric cooktops, to be installed by a licensed electrician. DIY installation is illegal and will void your home insurance.

Most freestanding or built-in electric cooktops require a dedicated 15A or 20A hardwired circuit, not a standard 10A GPO. Your electrician will assess your switchboard and install the correct circuit and isolator switch nearby.

A ceramic cooktop uses radiant electric elements beneath a glass-ceramic surface, which any cookware works. An induction cooktop uses electromagnetic fields and only works with ferromagnetic cookware (cast iron, magnetic stainless steel).

USAGE

Yes, but with limitations. Ceramic cooktops work with flat-bottomed woks only, as curved bases don’t make full contact. Induction cooktops also require flat-bottomed magnetic woks. Notably, traditional round-bottomed woks suit gas only.

Yes, cast iron works well on ceramic cooktops. However, slide it carefully, never drag it, as the rough base can scratch the glass surface. Avoid dropping cast iron, which can crack the surface.

SAFETY

No cooktop should be left completely unattended while cooking. Goldline electric cooktops come equipped with state-of-the-art safety features, including residual heat indicators that stay red until the surface has fully cooled, giving you a clear signal that it’s safe to touch.

Stop using the cooktop immediately. Do not touch the cracked surface. A damaged area may expose live electrical elements and cause shock. Contact the manufacturer or a licensed repair technician. Self‑repair is strongly discouraged. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Electric cooktops are a safer alternative to gas, with no open flames and no combustion risk. As with any cooking appliance, basic kitchen habits go a long way. Simply keep the area clear of tea towels, paper, and plastic. And never leave cookware unattended on a hot surface.

MAINTENANCE

Always let the surface cool completely before cleaning; the residual heat indicator light must be off.

For everyday cleaning, wipe down with a damp microfibre cloth and a small amount of dish soap or dedicated ceramic cooktop cream. For stubborn spills, apply cooktop cleaner and use a flat ceramic scraper held at a 30-degree angle to lift residue without scratching. Avoid abrasive scouring pads, steel wool, bleach, and oven spray — these permanently damage the glass-ceramic surface. Rinse thoroughly and buff dry with a clean cloth to prevent streaking. For coil or solid hotplate cooktops, remove drip bowls and wash them separately in warm soapy water, and wipe the surrounding surface with a damp cloth once cool.

For burnt sugar (which can permanently pit ceramic surfaces if left), carefully scrape it off while the surface is still warm using a ceramic scraper, then clean with cooktop cream. For melted plastic, let it cool, then scrape gently.

Note: Acting quickly reduces permanent damage.

A well-maintained electric cooktop typically lasts 10 to 15 years with proper care. Warranty periods in Australia are typically 2 years under ACL.
